even if you have the inverse "u love i"...couldn't it also just reflect that you're realizing the other loves you with the same 'love' aka selfish love...that you maybe loving with when you say "i love u"?

this makes me wonder, then, about the meaning of the word "love" in that statement...i would think that type of love inherently requires a serving-of-the-other love...which wouldn't include the 'selfish' aspect of life by default. :-) so go forward in saying "i love you" if that's the love you do possess! :-)

I think in today's society, the words "I Love You" are being tossed around so much that it's lost it's meaning. Like:
Dude 1: OMG bro can you spare me some dollar bills?
Dude 2: Sure, here ya go
Dude 1: OMGOMGOMG I LOVE YOU DUDEEE.

And this makes me sad because I want I LOVE YOU to actually mean something. >:(

But isnt that just it though, we can not love others without loving ourself first. If you dont love yourself how can there possibly be enough love left over for others? And if you tell your friends you love them, even if that is a selfish act as in saying I love myslef, doesnt that mean I love myself around my friends which then really is a reflection of them, that they have the ability to make me love myself???

Unfortunately, I think this is what a lot of people mean when they say these 3 words. The inverse is something difficult to strive for...a little less "i", a little more "u".

This inspires me, because I find it:
