| Parked Car in the Dark by Stephanie Curtis | |
The exterior shimmers The coat glistens Look in the window A twinkle in your right eye reflected Inside, a spotless, cozy interior is found At midnight Novelty sings loudly The sun unsets Stain & Dent, the famous Imperfectionists arrive on scene Their rather lackluster background undoubtedly accredits them Oh, how the Light invites the uncelebrated |
If I were sitting in a pitch black room, trying to read, you would probably think I was weird. How could I see anything in the dark? Amazingly enough, we do that all the time. We would rather hang a curtain over or ignore our issues than have them brought to light. So we engage the foolishness. We trick our ourselves into thinking that we can see just fine. I'm not a poet by any means, but I was inspired, so I wrote.
This inspires me, because I find it:
Funny
Creative
Beautiful
Moving
Intense
Insightful
Wow
Great Story
